first, the glass must be ground before tempering. The quality of glass edging plays a decisive role in the yield of tempering. When cutting the glass, small and fine cracks will be left at the edges, which are almost invisible to the naked eye. There are two functions of edging, one is beautiful, and the other is to improve the yield of tempered glass because it is not easy to break during tempering

second, adjust the process parameters of tempering. The technological parameters of tempering are mainly heating temperature, heating time, air pressure time of tempering cooling and tempering cooling time. The tempering temperature is inversely proportional to the heating time. The higher the temperature is, the shorter the heating time is. However, when we toughen glass with a thickness of more than 12mm, if the furnace temperature is too high, it is easy to explode in the furnace. Of course, there are many reasons for furnace explosion, and the main reason is that the furnace temperature is set too high. It is recommended to set the temperature of the wear-resistant and smash resistant furnace at about 665 ℃ when tempering the glass above 12mm, and appropriately extend the heating time. After determining the temperature, you need to choose a reasonable heating time. Generally, the heating time per millimeter is about 40 seconds. However, the heating time needs to be increased by 10% when tempering the glass with large layout, and 10% when tempering the glass with holes and corners. It is very important to master the heating time and temperature dialectically, and it is also the key to verify and calibrate the steel bar bending experimental machine to improve the yield of tempered glass according to the national standard

III. The importance of uniform heating of glass. Glass is actually a cube with four sides and six faces. The heating of the upper and lower sides of the glass is relatively slow. When tempering large plate glass, the middle of the glass is often heated the slowest. Sometimes the tempered glass will form a pot shape (especially the large plate glass close to the square). This is because the edges are heated too fast and the middle is heated too slowly. It takes four pieces of aluminum foil to make an experiment, that is, after the heating is completed, the temperature of the edges of the glass is much higher than that of the middle of the glass. In order to heat the large plate of glass evenly, it is best to set the temperature of the furnace to a heating curve (horizontal). The temperature in the middle is 10 degrees higher than the set temperature, and the temperature at the edge is 10 degrees lower than the set temperature. In this way, the tempered glass has both integrity and uniformity

IV. perforated and angled glass. Generally speaking, if the tempered glass needs to be perforated, you need to pay attention to the following points:

1. The aperture should be greater than or equal to the thickness of the glass

2. The distance between the hole edge and the glass edge is greater than or equal to twice the thickness of the glass

3. The distance between the two holes, the distance between the hole edge and the hole edge is greater than or equal to twice the thickness of the glass. In case of failing to meet this requirement and having to punch holes, slotting can be adopted. Without affecting the use and beauty, cut a small opening between the glass edge and the hole with a cutting machine at the edge of the glass. This is the best solution to solve the problem that some parts do not meet the requirements of punching and must be punched
